CNBScene: Vogue and Escada present Jonathan Saunders Escada Sport Pre-Fall 2012 Collection Party

Models from Factor Women wore the clothes. DJ Meagan Taylor provided her signature beats. And Mary Lasky wore her stunning Prada shoes.

Jonathan Sunders is one of the brightest stars of the London fashion scene, lauded for what can only be described as his painterly genius for mixing color. Escada celebrated its collaboration with Mr Saunders for the opening of its new store location in Chicago at 51 E.Oak Street, showcasing the designer’s Pre Fall capsule Escada Sport Collection. (HINT: His colorblocked sash tie wide legged pants are a must have.)

The event was sponsored by Vogue magazine which, for it’s June issue, features a nod and more than a wink to sport and the London Olympics, starting with its fourth cover ever to feature a man– Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte– alongside Serena Williams and Hope Solo.

Inside, you’ll find lipsynching sensation Jenifer Lopez beautifully modeling swimsuits you don’t swim in, photographed by Mario Testino.

But the real treat is the gorgeous “Country Strong” editorial photographed by Annie Leibovitz, which features Karlie Kloss with “America’s top male athletes as they set their sights on gold.” (The Bryan Brothers photos are particularly inspired!)

15% of the sales from the event went to benefit the fundraising board of Northwestern University Memorial Hospital’s Prentice Women’s Hospital.
