My Week with Rand Paul (N.W.A. Redux)
EDITORS NOTE: Update from Rand Paul TSA story:
“The police state in this country is growing out of control. One of the ultimate embodiments of this is the TSA that gropes and grabs our children, our seniors, and our loved ones and neighbors with disabilities. The TSA does all of this while doing nothing to keep us safe.’’

I find this offensive and in bad taste. Please do not forward such trash to my email in the future.
I’m sorry you feel this way, especially since you are serving people with disabilities and you are a victim of the budget cuts and insensitivity my brother and I are the victims of. SHAME ON YOU!
F*ck the police! I love this song. Anyone who lives in Chicago and isn’t afraid of the police is plain stupid. Look around.
I grew up in a family of policemen (and still have some active among Chicago’s finest), and I admire every single one of them. That said, you should fear them as they protect the populace, and deal with extraordinary horrors every day which can trigger any sort of reaction at any time.
Harassing people with Down Syndrome and their family members is not one of the horrors they face. TRUST ME.
My point is that given their exposure to the actual underbelly of society and its horrific crimes and acts of violence and abuse,, you don’t know what state of mind they (the police) can be in. I am not condoning the harassment of Theo, but if you think that there are not a lot of abused mentally and physically challenged adults dependent upon their abusers then you are delusional on top of being arrogant (always needing to be right). You take great care of Theo (one of your few redeeming qualities) but he legally should not have been left alone in a locked vehicle: BOTTOM LINE!
and I see you deleted Linda’s last statement (very telling indeed).
Linda is compromising her state funding and I am not going to let other people suffer because she is a bitter lesbian. Now, I Have never, ever LEFT Theo in a locked ANYTHING. He is an adult with a very clear notion of what he will and won’t do, just like you. He does as he chooses, and if he refuses to get out of a car at this point in his life (it wasn’t always so and I’m sure he’ll get over it eventually), I cannot do anything about that. That’s not illegal.
Theo knows that. But then again, he’s retarded not stupid.
And I don’t need lectures on taking care of the brother I have taken AMAZING care of for 18 years from people who don’t even have so much as a plant to water…..
As I said before, “you take great care of Theo”. I was not lecturing you on that subject. The officer was within his duties to investigate what he/she thought he saw. Forget for one moment that it was and you and Theo involved and the officer could have been preventing or ceasing an abusive situation. That is if you can ever forget that anything is ever about yourself.
Within his duties to investigate, yes. If there was cause. And once I explained but did not bother follow up “his investigation”, that my dear is called harassment. Please stop your judgement when you weren’t even there. AND, you’re accusing me of narcissism? You might need a reality check more than ever!
Reality is you have a website (BLOG) and can trash or herald anyone at anytime for any reason that suits you. BRAVO Tom! Kudos to the next Internet Media Wannabe Mogul. I truly hope you succeed.
AND if you read the New York Times once in a while instead of the Sun Times, you might know that the abuse of the retarded and mentally challenged goes unchecked in institutions for such people, not with their family members. Google the NYTimes excellent investigative series and get ready to apologize. And cry about what you read.
So if you and the police and anyone else is concerned about improprieties against the disabled you’re barking up the wrong tree. REALLY!
You are absolutely right Tom (not to mention smarter, wiser,, and more worldly than my Sun-Times reading self). Carry on Tom!
Insincerity was always one of your greatest virtues. Good to see you’re still representing your peeps.
Too bad Charla Krupp wasn’t an abusive police officer. Then you’d have something else to be insincere about! I’ll try harder to make you happy……
Even when people who I do not care for or share ideology with pass on or have misfortune, I do not revel in their misery or demise. I realize that everyone means something to somebody.
I’m not reveling in her death. No one deserves to die just because they are an ignorant bitch. Then you’d be dead too! I’m reveling in Ann Curry’s stupidity. BIG DIFFERENCE!
And since we both know what I’m talking about, where were the police when YOUR family member was being abused? NOWHERE IN SIGHT! so shut tfup
Enough said on what is obviously a volatile subject for you.
